Glorious Glimpses of Heaven

Darlene was born and raised in Miami, FL. She has resided in Naples, FL for the past 43 years. She has two grown children and four grandchildren. She was married for 46 years before being widowed in 2021.

Darlene found new friends to support her after the loss of her husband through a grief support group. Through the months these amazing individuals have become a meaningful addition to her life. She strongly encourages people suffering loss to seek out a local support group.

Being a creative soul her whole life, she enjoys writing, painting and gardening. Darlene uses nature as her inspiration, including daily walks, working in her yard with its many plant and flower beds, and feeding the birds and squirrels right outside her window.

Darlene is a Christian and Jesus has always had a hand in leading her in her life journey. She felt called to create Glorious Glimpses of Heaven after the death of her husband to help people who are experiencing grief or want to know more about heaven. She designed the book to be a comfort to adults, as well as children, with colorful  watercolors and related quotes from the Bible and other author’s near-death experiences.

Glorious Glimpses of Heaven is Darlene’s first published work. She feels that God definitely spoke to her about creating this book. Darlene notes, “There is so much joy and satisfaction in going where God leads me.” She keeps listening for God’s direction as she continues her exploration as an author and artist.
